Wow, this month's "Potty Pic" is of an outhouse built in the same year my mother was born!
I have been keeping watch over our bluejay hatchlings, and there are 5 of them! They are still too young to fly, but getting bigger every day. I'm afraid the nest won't accommodate all of them much longer. I hope one or more don't fall to the ground. I have spent my last 34 years worrying about my own 5 children---must I now take on the task of worrying about these 5 feathered friends?!
Looking forward into June, I am off work for another 7 days starting this Saturday. I am getting very anxious to pick strawberries as soon as they are ready! I can't wait for this year's 1st taste of fresh strawberry shortcake. And my sister Nancy gave me some of her homegrown rhubarb, so I can make some more strawberry-rhubarb pies!
Can't believe how big the baby birds have gotten, and they look HUNGRY! Better watch your step when you go out on the porch or you may step on one if it falls out. I have not checked on strawberries yet---it has been so COLD here they must be behind schedule. Our local berries are worth waiting for, tho. Shortcake, jam, and strawberry-rhubarb pie---YUMMO! You potty pic makes me have to "go" and snap a pic of my June calendar. I am "behind!"
