I had a great 4th of July weekend-----absolutely PERFECT weather! And so much to do! We went to a party on the 4th at a friend's house on the outskirts of town. It's a very beautiful farmhouse with a lot of land and a fantastic view from their back deck. Great food with nice friends.
Then today we went to the Greater Binghamton Airport for a fantastic air show, with a great performance by all, but especially by the Blue Angels. We actually saw the show from Apple Hills, where we pick our fruit/berries!It is located practically right behind the airport. Apple Hills asked for only a $5 donation(which went to the Alzheimers organization)to park on their property. It was the best entertainment for five bucks that I have had in a long time! Next stop---we picked up some pizza and headed to Otseningo Park---a very scenic park near us with a lot of acreage. We took a lot of pictures of the geese, red-winged blackbirds, a cute bunny, and the Susquehanna River. We topped today off with an ice cream cone from nearby---and finished eating it up in our back yard. Then we headed inside to celebrate 2 of our cats birthdays(Swimmer and Tigerlily are 9 today). But that's another story. Hope you all had a great weekend, too! Enjoy some of the pictures we took.

  1. Nice pics and it sounds like y'all had a great time Carol! We bbq-d on Friday b/c we had other things going on Sat and Sunday. It's been hot here... setting records as a matter of fact. Example, 99 degrees that feels like 109 degrees when you factor in the humidity. We're flying to the Dallas area Tuesday to see Tim, Jr, wife Amanda and granddaughter Reagan. We'll be back Saturday. XOX Timmy

  2. Love the pictures. I copied the one of you guys having ice cream for my web site. Sounds like a fantastic day; good for you! The air shows are very exciting. A few years ago I was stuck at the Greater Rochester Int'l Airport for almost 6 hours waiting for Timmy to arrive (and then drive him to Savona). There just happened to be an air show near by and I went outside and had a wonderful view!
