I had a great 4th of July weekend-----absolutely PERFECT weather! And so much to do! We went to a party on the 4th at a friend's house on the outskirts of town. It's a very beautiful farmhouse with a lot of land and a fantastic view from their back deck. Great food with nice friends.
Then today we went to the Greater Binghamton Airport for a fantastic air show, with a great performance by all, but especially by the Blue Angels.We actually saw the show from Apple Hills, where we pick our fruit/berries!It is located practically right behind the airport. Apple Hills asked for only a $5 donation(which went to the Alzheimers organization)to park on their property. It was the best entertainment for five bucks that I have had in a long time! Next stop---we picked up some pizza and headed to Otseningo Park---a very scenic park near us with a lot of acreage. We took a lot of pictures of the geese, red-winged blackbirds, a cute bunny, and the Susquehanna River. We topped today off with an ice cream cone from nearby---and finished eating it up in our back yard. Then we headed inside to celebrate 2 of our cats birthdays(Swimmer and Tigerlily are 9 today).
