We were on Mount Dessert Island off the coast of Maine all last week, and it was BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I, and my daughter and son-in-law,Rebecca and Chris, all traveled to Maine for the peak folliage season, and we weren't disappointed. The colors were so nice, and the weather was in the 60s and sunny every day. We went for a very relaxing carriage ride on the carriage roads of Acadia National Park, and to Thunder Hole, and beautiful Bar Harbor. We also treveled to Kennebunkport, Portland, Ogunquit, and York Harbor. We saw some fantastic lighthouses, and my son-in-law took this great shot of Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick just before sunrise(the stars were still out!). The high point of our trip, literally, was the sight from the top of Cadillac Mountain! We want to return there next year. There's so much to see in the state of Maine!
