Even though Easter is 2 weeks away, I was compelled by the great 60 degree weather this past weekend to orchestrate an Easter egg hunt for my 5 grandchildren. It was held at my daughter Jennifer's home in the country. It was a lot of fun for everyone, and we had pizza and a homemade peanut butter pie for eats. The small ones enjoyed some of the treats I hid in their eggs, along with the adorable plastic light-up frogs & ducks I put into jumbo plastic eggs. I found them at a CVS drugstore for $1.99 apiece! The frogs come in 2 shades of green, and when you hold them a sensor makes them turn a lot of different colors which wave throuout the frog, then all the colors start blinking quickly at the end. They looked really cool in the dark! I think I had more fun with them than the kids! Of course, it IS still March, and the lawns are a little on the SOFT side, so DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT wear high-healed shoes on an egg hunt like my youngest daughter Noelle did! You can see what happens in the picture!

  1. Looks like y'all had a nice time, Carol. I would have thrown in an early (for you) bbq, too! That peanut butter pie sounds yummy for sure!

  2. You always do the most clever and fun stuff for the grandkids (and kids)! Looks like fun. When you are Noelle's age, it's always fashion before function, lol! PB pie---yum!
