I keep adding new hanging baskets in my back yard. I love watching all the birds and squirrels out there. I bought a new book on North American birds because we have some here that I haven't seen before. I made a strawberry-rhubarb pie, and sat down with a nice big piece of it and perused the book. It has a lot of beautiful pics in it. Last week my cat, Swimmer, was obviously in pain so we took her to the vet. It turns out that she has kidney stones, and she must have passed one. She is on an antibiotic for another day or so, but we don't have to give her any more pain meds---she's back to her old frisky self again!

I just have to get through one more day of work, then I'm off for 7 whole days!!! I'll be visiting with my brother from New Orleans, and my sister in Savona on Tuesday. Then I'll just be doing odd things around the house and yard. Hope you all have a nice holiday weekend!
